I recently enjoyed a peaceful stay at Hotel Avra, and I must say, the culinary experience stood out. The buffet-style Mediterranean breakfast was a daily highlight, featuring everything from freshly baked traditional pies to homemade cakes that reminded me of Sunday mornings back in Cork. With a selection that changed daily, it was easy to indulge in local flavors—think fresh orange juice, savory omelettes, and various cereals that would please any palate. the lovely terrace overlooking the waves made for a picturesque backdrop. The restaurant's commitment to using fresh ingredients was evident, particularly in their seafood dishes. I tried the catch of the day, which was cooked to perfection. Each meal celebrated Greek traditions and showcased the area’s bounty. All in all, Hotel Avra provided a tranquil retreat paired with exceptional dining. I look forward to returning and encouraging fellow food enthusiasts to explore this hidden gem.
